Lawyer by profession, artist by compulsion. By day I work at the frontier of AI law and policy; by night I make dense, surreal, quietly melancholic work in the San Francisco Bay Area.

bio
I'm a part-time artist and full-time existential crisisist based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I'm drawn to the fluidity of memory — the bittersweet ache of youth and aging, the quiet joy of ordinary days. I love the way black slices across white, and white across black. Busy creatures with big heads make me happy.
But mostly I love negative space: the absence of what could have been there, which so often interests me more than what is. The path not taken. The words unsaid. The beauty and the permanence of things we regret. What remains is never empty.
Am I painting in black or white? Carving out, or carving in?
Water carves a canyon — and leaves an imprint of its own shape.
